Inside Civil Engineering. Civil engineers are responsible for planning and creating building projects, such as water systems, tunnels, bridges and other public works projects. During the design.
Why Early Access? “Medieval Engineers is an Early Access game, which means that it is released while under development but is already in a very playable state and contains a vast amount of features. The game is being improved on a regular basis through updates that add and polish features and content, optimizations and bug fixes.
Getting real feedback from our community is our topmost priority. Working on a game behind the veil isn’t fun and is altogether much less effective. Real people with real needs and real voices you can listen to are the heart of game development. We invite all players to give us their feedback and suggestions and help us create the best game possible!
Buy now, play on Steam and receive future updates. Everything in the game is subject to change.” Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access? “Medieval Engineers will remain in Early Access development until we gather enough feedback from the Community. We need to see how people play our game and what do they want us to focus on. Community feedback is expected and will direct our future decisions.
We want to ensure that our players have the best experience possible and we will continue to develop the game in Early Access for as long as it is required in order to achieve it.” How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version? “We are planning to release new updates on a regular basis. These updates will contain new features, optimizations and bug fixes. The same model has been used for our first Early Access title, Space Engineers , with great success. New additions to the game will be also depended on player feedback.” What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The first release of Medieval Engineers will feature: Creative mode (unlimited resources, instant building, invulnerability, levitation), Steam Workshop (SDK + API), damage, and structural integrity. Multi-player and survival modes will come later. A full list of all the features can be found on our website: ” Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“All players who decide to purchase the game in Early Access will receive future updates. The price of Medieval Engineers is going increase gradually for as long as it is under development and more features are being added.” How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process? “Our studio has a very good reputation for developing Early Access titles and the way we involve our players in this process.
Our first Early Access game, Space Engineers, is considered to be among the most successful Early Access projects on Steam. Getting real feedback from the Community is our topmost priority. Real people with real needs and real voices you can listen to are the heart of game development. There is a dedicated sub-forum where players can report bugs that they find in the game.

Players can also interact with the community and developers on our discord server ”. 2 January 2018 was a very productive year for Medieval Engineers.
Just as with Space Engineers, Medieval Engineers also switched to the major update approach. We started the year with the introduction of the log walls, and performance improvements through better handling of parallel logic. We also introduced a pretty major feature for the modding community: the ability to make mods have a list of dependencies! This has made the modding community more tight-knit as they started to work together on higher quality mods. Continue reading. 18 December, 2018 Hello, Engineers! Another year has flown.
2018 has seen lots of improvements to the game, from the optimizations to player characters, allowing dozens of players on a single server, to a major combat overhaul, and some major improvements to the modding interfaces, allowing for fantastic mods like the Water mod and the Rails mod, it sure has been a ride. Today we’re adding the banners of the first and second place winners, WarNexxus and Ivan Cornelius, and re-enabling the Christmas Tree crafting recipe. You will be able to decorate your buildings with your own Christmas tree again! Internally, we continue to work on 0.7, as well as celebrating the holidays with our friends and family, here in Prague, or for those of us who are going home, in their home countries.
Enjoy the update, and happy holidays from the Medieval Engineers development team, and all of the people working at Keen Software House! We will see you again next year!
Full list of features and improvements. About This Game Medieval Engineers is a sandbox game about engineering, construction and the maintenance of architectural works and mechanical equipment using medieval technology.
Players build cities, castles and fortifications; construct mechanical devices and engines; perform landscaping and underground mining. There is an entire planet to explore! The game is inspired by real medieval technology and the way people built architectural works and mechanical equipment using medieval technology.
Medieval Engineers strives to follow the laws of physics and history and doesn't use any technologies that were not available in the 5th to 15th centuries. Medieval Engineers concentrates on construction aspects, but can be played as an action game too. We expect players to avoid engaging in direct man-to-man combat and instead use their creativity and engineering skills to build war machines and fortifications.

Medieval Engineers shouldn’t be about troops; it should be about the machinery you build. Medieval Engineers is the second “engineering” game developed by Keen Software House.
The first one is Space Engineers, which sold over 2 million copies in its first year and is still a bestseller. Early Access Features. More to be added later Please be sure to read the list of current features before you buy the game. It will give you an insight on what is or isn't actually working: Performance NotesMedieval Engineers is in development and undergoing frequent optimizations. The performance will get better. The performance depends on the complexity of your world and the configuration of your computer. Simple worlds run smoothly even on low-end computers, but a more complex world with rich object interactions could overload even high-end computers.
Minimum requirements represent the bare minimum to run simple scenes and don’t guarantee a perfect experience.
